I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Political Science at Northwestern University, where I work on the international politics of recognition with Ian Hurd (chair), Karen Alter, and Elizabeth Shakman Hurd. I also serve as a graduate fellow in legal studies and have been a co-ordinator for the International Organizations & International Law Working Group at the Buffett Institute for Global Studies. My research has been published in the European Journal of International Relations and my public commentary has appeared in Al Jazeera English and the National Post. I have presented my research at the annual conferences of the American Political Science Association, the International Studies Association, and the Midwest Political Science Association.
Originally from Toronto, I have a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an M.A. from the University of British Columbia.
